AI Minister visits Vishay Newport
December 2025
We were delighted to welcome Kanishka Narayan MP, Minister for AI & Online Safety, to Vishay’s Newport site as part of his recent visit to the CSconnected cluster.
During the visit, the Minister toured our site, met with some of our inspiring female leaders who are driving innovation, and learned more about the cutting-edge work happening here. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to discuss the critical role semiconductors will play in driving Wales and the UK’s green growth ambitions and supporting the growing AI sector.
We were proud to share our vision for Newport as Vishay’s Centre of Compound Excellence – driving innovation in semiconductor technology and shaping the future at the heart of the CSconnected cluster.
A huge thank you to Minister Narayan for recognising the importance of our work and the talented people behind it. Together working with Government, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive, and globally competitive semiconductor industry for the UK and beyond.
