Our continued investment in Newport aims to support over 500 highly skilled, well-paid jobs, with salaries above the regional average, as well as hundreds more roles across the wider supply chain. Our planned £250 million investment, supported through partnership with the UK Government, Welsh Government and local authorities, will strengthen Newport’s position at the heart of the UK’s advanced manufacturing and semiconductor sector.
As one of the few semiconductor fabs in the UK with the capacity to grow and introduce new technologies, including advanced compound semiconductor power conversion, Vishay Newport is uniquely positioned to deliver the next generation of efficient, high-performance chips.
