Vishay Wins Rising Star Award at Women Leaders in Electronics 2026
May 2026
Vishay are delighted to share that Zaborah Bobadilla, Staff Process Engineer at Vishay, has won the Electronics Rising Star award at the 2026 Women Leaders in Electronics Awards. These awards celebrate women across the international electronics industry who are driving innovation and championing excellence within their organisations and the wider sector.
Zaborah was recognised for delivering exceptional, measurable impact in semiconductor manufacturing, including major revenue gains, significant scrap reduction and improved manufacturing resilience. The judges praised Zaborah’s rapid career progression, strong leadership potential, and her ability to take on high-value challenges with determination and technical excellence.
The evening was also a fantastic celebration of the wider talent within Vishay, with Steffi Johnston receiving Highly Commended recognition in the Rising Star category, alongside fellow finalists Kae Alo and Puteri Nurdiana Ruslan. Having four finalists in a year with record nomination numbers is a remarkable achievement, and reflects the expertise and dedication of Vishay’s people across the business. It comes on the back of last year where six were nominated for recognition, and Rachel Watkins, Principal Engineer, was crowned ‘Electronics Engineer of the Year’.
Vishay is proud to see Zaborah recognised among such inspiring professionals and congratulates all finalists, highly commended nominees and winners celebrated at this year’s event.
