Cleaning up our community together

October 2024

Some of our staff were involved in a community clean up this weekend at Rabbit Hill in Duffryn, Newport.

Friends of Rabbit Hill is a new community group set up by volunteers from in and around Newport, after a previous community project to improve the Rabbit Hill Woodland ended.

Newport City Council have done a fantastic job opening up a new area in the woodland by removing non-native invasive and damaged trees. However, this has exposed fly tipped areas, so the group invited people from in and around Newport to a community litter pick to make the area cleaner and greener.

Around seven Vishay employees joined the event on Sunday.

One of the organisers said, “Thank you to all of the amazing people who took part in our first quarterly community litter pick at Rabbit Hill Woods! It was lovely to meet everyone and learn about your connections to Duffryn. What a fantastic morning!”

A big thanks to the organisers from everyone at Vishay.
